Bruni
Bruni is a winery in Toscana, central Italy, working with Sangiovese in the Morellino di Scansano appellation. The house produces two flagship expressions: Laire Morellino di Scansano Riserva and Marteto Morellino di Scansano. Both wines draw from the region's volcanic soils and continental climate, which shape the characteristic structure and dark fruit profile of Sangiovese in this corner of southern Tuscany. Wine Spectator has rated the winery's output. The Riserva designation on Laire signals extended aging and concentration, while Marteto represents the broader expression of the appellation's potential. Morellino di Scansano, Sangiovese's local name here, produces wines of medium body with firm tannins and mineral undertones—a style distinct from the more powerful Brunellos and Vino Nobile expressions found further north in Tuscany.
