Plan a wine trip to Casa de Santar — Femente builds the route.
Casa de Santar produces wines from Dão, the granite-soiled region of Central Portugal's Beiras. The winery works with the region's signature varieties: Encruzado for whites of mineral precision, and a blend of native reds—Aragonez, Touriga Nacional, Jaen, and Alfrocheiro Preto—that capture Dão's cool-climate structure. Vinha Dos Amores Encruzado Dão Branco, a single-varietal white, has drawn recognition from Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Falstaff. The Nobre Tinto, a field blend of the four red varieties, shows the complexity typical of Dão's traditional approach. Outono de Santar Vindima Tardia, a late-harvest Encruzado, rounds the portfolio with concentrated fruit and natural sweetness. These wines reflect the terroir of one of Portugal's most respected inland wine zones.
