Charles Heidsieck produces wines from Champagne, the northernmost region of France where chalk soils and cool climate create conditions for high-acidity, mineral-driven sparkling wines. The house works primarily with Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay—the three grapes that define the region's traditional blends. Champagne Charlie, a blend of all three varieties, represents the core expression of this approach. The winery also produces Blanc des Millénaires, a Chardonnay-based cuvée, and Côteaux Champenois Blanc from Vertus, a still white wine made from the same terroir. These wines have been assessed by major critics including Decanter, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Advocate.
