Château Toumalin
Château Toumalin sits in Canon-Fronsac, a compact appellation within Bordeaux's Libournais region known for structured, mineral-driven reds. The estate produces two principal wines. MT de Toumalin, a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, shows the region's signature earthiness and tannin grip. The Canon-Fronsac bottling, built from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, reflects the appellation's preference for right-bank Bordeaux character—ripe fruit tempered by acidity and firm structure. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator. Canon-Fronsac remains one of Bordeaux's less heralded appellations, a pocket of serious winemaking where clay-limestone soils and cool microclimates yield wines of depth rather than flash.
