Contrade

Contrade produces wine in Puglia, the sun-drenched heel of Southern Italy. The region's warm continental climate and ancient soils yield wines of distinctive character—wines that reflect the particular terroir of the south rather than the more familiar profiles of the north. The winery's Malvasia–Chardonnay blend demonstrates the potential of this pairing: Malvasia brings the aromatic, mineral-driven quality native to Southern Italy, while Chardonnay contributes structure and complexity. Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate have both assessed Contrade's output, recognizing the technical merit in its approach to these grapes.
