Contucci produces wines from Montepulciano in southern Toscana, where Prugnolo Gentile and Canaiolo Nero thrive in the region's clay and limestone soils. The winery's flagship, Mulinvecchio Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, blends these two varieties into a wine of structure and depth. Pietra Rossa, also a Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, offers a complementary expression of the same grapes. For a more approachable entry point, Rosso di Montepulciano showcases the same varietals in a younger, more immediate style.
