Descendientes de J. Palacios produces wines from Bierzo, a region in Castilla y León known for its mineral soils and continental climate. The winery focuses on Mencía, the indigenous red grape of the region, which thrives in Bierzo's slate and schist terroirs. La Faraona and Las Lamas, both from the Corullón subzone, represent the winery's core expression of this varietal. La Faraona is a pure Mencía wine; Las Lamas blends Mencía with Alicante Bouschet.
