Domaine de Rancy operates in Languedoc-Roussillon, the sprawling southern French region known for bold Mediterranean varieties and fortified wines. The domaine works with grapes suited to the region's warm climate and limestone soils: Macabeo, Carignan, and Mourvèdre. Its Rivesaltes Ambré, made from Macabeo, represents the traditional fortified style of the appellation—oxidative aging in glass carboys that develops amber color and complex, dried-fruit character. Le de Carignan showcases the region's signature dark variety, known for structure and earthy depth. The Mourvèdre, a Rhône-adjacent grape, brings spice and tannin. These wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast.
