Domaine des Schistes

Domaine des Schistes works the schist-rich soils of Languedoc-Roussillon, a region where mineral terroir shapes wine of distinctive character. The winery's portfolio centers on Mediterranean varieties suited to the terrain: Grenache in its pure expression, as in Devant Le Mas Maury Sec, and in blended form across Le Parcellaire la Coumeille, a wine that marries Syrah, Carignan, and Grenache into a structured whole. Les Terrasses Blanches Côtes du Roussillon showcases the white side—Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris—capturing the aromatic and mineral qualities the region is capable of. These wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Decanter, Falstaff, and Wine Enthusiast, reflecting the winery's position within serious critical discourse. The schist foundation, visible in the vineyard and tasted in the glass, remains the through-line of the estate's work.
