Domaine le Fagolet

Domaine le Fagolet produces Gamay-based wines from Beaujolais-Villages, the region's quality tier above the basic appellation. The winery's portfolio centers on cru expressions: Le Janin from Morgon, La Gravelle from Chiroubles, and Saburin Sud from Brouilly. These are the northern Beaujolais crus, where granite and schist soils yield wines with structure and aging potential—a departure from the lighter, fruit-forward profile associated with Beaujolais Nouveau. Gamay in these terroirs develops mineral depth and tannin grip. The wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Decanter.
