Draxton

Draxton produces wines from Alexander Valley, Sonoma County's warm benchland in the North Coast. The winery focuses on varieties suited to the region's diurnal temperature swings: Sauvignon Blanc, which captures the valley's mineral precision; Pinot Noir, drawing structure from cooler microclimates; and Pinot Meunier Rosé, a less common expression of the Champagne variety. Wine Enthusiast has rated the Sauvignon Blanc at 90 points, the Pinot Meunier Rosé at 89.3, and the Pinot Noir at 88 points. Alexander Valley's gravelly soils and long growing season support both crisp whites and elegant reds, and Draxton's selections reflect that terroir-driven character.
