Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno produces Nebbiolo-based Barolos from the Piedmont region of northern Italy. The winery's portfolio centers on expressions from two of Barolo's most celebrated vineyard sites: Albarella and Cannubi. Barolo Albarella, the flagship offering, demonstrates the structure and aging potential characteristic of the appellation, while Cannubi Barolo and its Riserva expression showcase the complexity that emerges from this storied terroir. Nebbiolo, the grape at the heart of these wines, is known for its high tannins, acidity, and capacity to evolve over decades. Barolo itself—situated in the Langhe hills south of Alba—has long been recognized for producing some of Italy's most demanding and rewarding red wines. The winery's releases have been assessed by major international critics including Decanter, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Falstaff.
