Goldwater produces wines from Auckland, New Zealand's northernmost wine region. The winery's portfolio centers on two distinct expressions: a Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot blend and a pure Merlot bottling called Esslin, alongside a Sauvignon Blanc. The Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot has drawn attention from Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, and Falstaff. The Sauvignon Blanc, a varietal well-suited to New Zealand's cool maritime climate, and the Esslin Merlot round out the core range. All three wines have been assessed by major international critics.
