Herdade do Sobroso

Herdade do Sobroso is situated in Vidigueira, within the Alentejo region of southern Portugal—a landscape of rolling plains and Mediterranean warmth that favors bold red wines and distinctive whites. The winery's portfolio centers on indigenous and international varieties adapted to the region's terroir. The Grande Reserva Tinto, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Alicante Bouschet, represents the house's approach to structured reds, while the Barrique Select Reserva Tinto draws on a quartet of regional grapes—Alicante Bouschet, Trincadeira, Aragonez, and Alfrocheiro Preto—to craft layered complexity. The Arché, made from Antão Vaz, showcases the potential of white varieties in Alentejo's continental climate. These wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Decanter.
