J.B. Becker produces Riesling from the Rheingau, Germany's most prestigious white wine region. The winery's portfolio centers on dry and sweet expressions from the Wallufer vineyard sites, where slate and loess soils shape the mineral character of the grape. The Wallufer Oberberg Riesling Beerenauslese—a botrytized sweet wine—and the dry Wallufer Walkenberg selections, including the Auslese Trocken and Alte Reben Spätlese Trocken, have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Decanter. Rheingau Riesling at this level balances intensity with acidity, moving between honeyed richness in the sweeter styles and focused stone fruit and floral notes in the trocken (dry) bottlings. The Alte Reben designation signals fruit from older vines, typically yielding deeper concentration and complexity.
