Josep Grau Viticultor works the steep terroirs of Montsant, in Tarragona's corner of Catalunya. The region's schist and slate soils yield wines of mineral precision and dark fruit intensity. The winery's portfolio centers on indigenous and traditional varieties: Carenes Gratallops, a blend of Trepat, Macabeo, and Grenache Blanc, and Pedrabona, built from Cariñena and Garnacha, both rank among its highest-rated expressions. Les Casetes Garnatxa Negra, a pure Grenache, rounds out the core lineup. These wines have drawn assessment from Wine Advocate, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator.
