Marchesi de' Cordano
Marchesi de' Cordano works the volcanic soils of Abruzzo, in central Italy's Adriatic foothills. The winery focuses on two grapes native to the region: Montepulciano, which yields structured reds with dark fruit and mineral grip, and Cococciola, a white of crisp acidity and subtle stone-fruit character. The Trecini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva and Trinita´ Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva represent the house's interpretation of the region's signature red—aged expressions that deepen the variety's natural tannin framework. The Brilla Cococciola offers a counterpoint in white, showcasing the pale-skinned variety's lean, food-friendly profile. Both Wine Spectator and Decanter have rated the portfolio, anchoring these wines within the critical conversation around Abruzzo's modern expression.
