Puglia's appassimento tradition in Primitivo and Negroamaro.

Masso Antico produces wines from Puglia, the sun-drenched region of Southern Italy. The winery works with indigenous grapes that thrive in the region's warm, dry climate. Its Appassito Primitivo, made from partially dried Primitivo grapes, captures the intensity and structure characteristic of the variety when concentrated. The Negroamaro da Uve Leggermente Appassite employs a gentler drying technique on Negroamaro fruit, a traditional Puglian grape known for its dark fruit and earthy character. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast. Puglia's terroir—limestone soils, Mediterranean heat, and coastal breezes—shapes wines of depth and ripeness, and Masso Antico's focus on appassimento methods reflects the region's winemaking heritage.
