Menger-Krug

Menger-Krug produces sparkling wines in the Pfalz, Germany's warmest wine region. The winery focuses on traditional méthode champenoise and méthode rurale bottlings. Its Rosé Brut, made from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, shows the region's capacity for structured, food-friendly bubbles. The Methode Rurale Brut, built on Chardonnay, offers a more textural, less conventional approach to German sparkling wine. Both wines have been assessed by Falstaff. The Pfalz's continental climate and sandy, loamy soils create conditions suited to the precision and acidity that sparkling wines demand.
