Montagu

Montagu bottles Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay by single vineyard — Charles Heintz, Rita's Crown, and Silver Eagle each get their own label. The range extends into Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon and a Pinot Noir rosé, but the cool-climate Pinot and Chardonnay are the core. Wine Advocate rates the wines in the high 80s to low 90s, and Wine Enthusiast has gone as high as 97 on the range. With eighteen wines across the lineup, the single-vineyard Pinots are where the producer's argument sits.
