Monteabellon produces wines from Castilla y León, Spain's vast central plateau. The winery works with the region's signature grapes: Tempranillo, the dark-skinned variety that defines Spanish red wine, and Verdejo, the crisp white native to the area. Avaniel, their Tempranillo, shows the structured depth characteristic of the region's continental climate and high-altitude vineyards. The Verdejo expresses the mineral, herbaceous character typical of its variety. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate and Decanter, establishing a presence among serious wine critics.
