Müller-Ruprecht
Müller-Ruprecht works the Pfalz, Germany's warmest wine region, where Riesling thrives in the shelter of the Haardt Mountains. The winery's two flagship expressions—Kallstadter Saumagen Nill Riesling and Saumagen N Riesling Trocken—both draw from the Saumagen vineyard, a site known for its mineral-rich soils and south-facing exposure. The Nill version carries residual sweetness; the Trocken is bone-dry. Both have been rated by Falstaff. Pfalz Riesling at its best balances the grape's natural acidity with the ripeness that the region's climate permits, yielding wines of clarity and depth. These bottlings reflect that character: precise, structured, and rooted in their terroir.
