Ostatu produces wines from Rioja Alavesa, the northern subregion of Spain's Rioja, where Atlantic influences temper continental heat and clay-limestone soils shape the character of Tempranillo and its traditional blending partners. The winery's portfolio centers on Tempranillo in various expressions: the Valdepedro, a single-varietal bottling, and the Gloria Rioja, both of which demonstrate the grape's capacity for structure and depth in this terroir. The Mazarredo de Ostatu Crianza blends Tempranillo with Garnacha, Mazuelo, and Graciano—a classical Rioja formula that builds complexity through the interplay of these complementary varieties.
