Poças produces wines from Porto's Duriense region in Northern Portugal, where steep schist terraces and the Douro River's influence shape distinctive fortified and table wines. The winery draws on traditional Portuguese grape varieties—Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, and Tinta Barroca—varieties prized for their structure and aging potential. Old Times 10 Anos Tawny Port, a blend of these five grapes, demonstrates the complexity achievable through extended barrel maturation. Pousada 10 Year Old Porto similarly showcases the region's capacity for depth and balance across a decade of wood aging. The Fora da Série French Connection Tinto, built on Touriga Francesa, represents the winery's work with dry red expression. Wines from Poças have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Falstaff, and Decanter.
