Poggio di Sotto produces Sangiovese-based wines from Toscana in central Italy, anchored by two expressions of Brunello di Montalcino. The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, the winery's flagship, has been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Falstaff. The standard Brunello di Montalcino follows a similar critical trajectory. A third wine, Il Decennale, rounds out the portfolio. All three are built on Sangiovese, the Tuscan varietal prized for its structure, acidity, and capacity to age. The Riserva designation signals extended barrel and bottle maturation—a marker of ambition within the Montalcino classification. These wines reflect the terroir and winemaking discipline of one of Italy's most exacting red wine regions.
