Quinta da Bica sits in the Dão region of Portugal's Beiras, where granite soils and cool mountain air shape wines of structure and precision. The winery works with the region's native varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, and Alfrocheiro in red blends; Gouveio, Encruzado, and Cerceal Branco in whites. Vinhas Velhas, a field blend of four red grapes, anchors the portfolio and has drawn attention from Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast. The Jaen bottling—a blend of Touriga Nacional, Jaen, and Alfrocheiro Preto—offers a more focused expression of the estate's red wine philosophy. On the white side, Branco combines Gouveio, Encruzado, and Cerceal Branco into a mineral, age-worthy blend. These wines reflect the Dão's reputation for elegant, food-friendly reds and crisp, complex whites built on terroir rather than extraction.
