Quinta do Castelinho produces wines from the Douro region of Northern Portugal, where the steep terraced vineyards and schist soils create conditions for concentrated, structured reds. The winery works with classic Douro varieties—Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca—the same grapes that define the region's fortified and table wine traditions. The Vinha do Tanque Reserva Tinto, a blend of Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, and Tinta Roriz, represents the winery's approach to dry red production. A Vintage Port, also built from Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, and Touriga Nacional, demonstrates the house's command of the fortified style. The Premium, a pairing of Touriga Nacional and Souzao, rounds out the portfolio. Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast have all assessed the winery's releases.
