Robert Perroud

Robert Perroud works the granite slopes of Brouilly, one of Beaujolais's ten crus. The vineyard's volcanic soils and continental climate shape wines of mineral precision and dark fruit intensity—the hallmark of Gamay from this corner of the region. La Fournaise du Pérou Côte de Brouilly and Foudre No. 5 Côte de Brouilly, both pure Gamay, sit at the top of the winery's range, rated by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Decanter. Romain En Saburin Brouilly rounds out the portfolio. These are wines built on terroir rather than extraction: structured, age-worthy expressions of what Brouilly's best sites can yield.
