Sierra de Toloño

Sierra de Toloño produces wines from Rioja, Spain's most prestigious red wine region. The winery focuses on three flagship expressions: Tereseño, a Grenache that has earned recognition from Decanter, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast; La Dula Garnachas de Altura, another Garnacha-based wine rated by the same panel of critics; and Nahikun Tinto, a Tempranillo that rounds out the portfolio. Rioja's continental climate and varied terroirs—from lower valleys to higher elevations—allow for the cultivation of these classic Spanish varieties. Grenache and Garnacha (the same grape, known by different names) thrive in the region's warm conditions, developing deep color and ripe fruit character, while Tempranillo brings structure and aging potential. The winery's selection reflects Rioja's traditional grape hierarchy while exploring the distinctive qualities that elevation and specific microclimates impart to each wine.
