Sottimano

Sottimano produces Nebbiolo-based wines from Piemonte in northern Italy, focusing on the Barbaresco appellation. The winery's core expression, Barbaresco, captures the region's signature character: structured tannins, aromatic complexity, and the mineral tension that defines Nebbiolo at its finest. A Barbaresco Riserva offers deeper concentration and extended aging potential, while Currá Barbaresco presents an alternative perspective on the varietal. Piemonte's continental climate and calcareous soils create conditions where Nebbiolo develops its characteristic notes of tar, rose, and dried cherry alongside firm acidity and grip. Sottimano's wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Falstaff.
