Taboadella produces wines from the Dão region of central Portugal's Beiras, where granite soils and Atlantic influence shape distinctive expressions of indigenous varieties. The winery's Grande Villae Tinto blends Alfrocheiro Preto, Touriga Nacional, and Tinta Roriz—grapes that thrive in Dão's cool climate and deliver structure with dark fruit character. The Reserva Alfrocheiro focuses on Alfrocheiro Preto alone, a regional varietal prized for its aromatic depth and mineral backbone. On the white side, Grande Villae Branco combines Bical and Encruzado, varieties that bring acidity and complexity to the region's whites. These wines have been assessed by Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Wine Spectator.
