Tenuta Bastonaca
Tenuta Bastonaca works with the distinctive grapes of Sicily's volcanic terroirs. The winery's Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico, a blend of Frappato and Nero d'Avola, anchors its portfolio—a wine of the Vittoria region that marries the two varieties' contrasting profiles into a structured whole. The Etna Rosso, built from Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, draws on the mineral character of Mount Etna's slopes. A straight Nero d'Avola rounds out the core range, offering the grape's dark fruit and tannin in singular form. These wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast and Decanter, reflecting the winery's place within Sicily's serious wine conversation. The region itself—Terre Siciliane, in the south—has emerged as a source of authentic, terroir-driven reds that challenge older hierarchies of Italian wine.
