Tenuta Carretta operates in Langhe, the heart of Piemonte's noble wine country. The winery works with two of the region's defining varieties: Nebbiolo, the austere, structured grape behind Barolo and Roero, and Cortese, the crisp white of the surrounding hills. The Bric Paradiso Roero Riserva—a Nebbiolo aged in the traditional manner—shows the power and complexity that Roero Nebbiolo can achieve. The Gavi, made from Cortese, represents the lighter, mineral-driven whites that thrive in this corner of northern Italy. A third expression, the Barolo Cannubi Riserva Collezione, anchors the portfolio in one of Barolo's most storied vineyard sites. These wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Falstaff, and Decanter.
