Terra Antica produces Sangiovese-based wines from Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, one of Tuscany's most structured red wine appellations. The region's clay and limestone soils impart mineral tension and age-worthiness to its wines. The winery's Vino Nobile di Montepulciano expresses the varietal's characteristic dark cherry, leather, and earthy notes with firm tannin structure. The Riserva Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, aged longer in oak, deepens this profile into a more complex, layered expression. Both wines have been assessed by Falstaff. Montepulciano's elevation and continental climate create conditions for Sangiovese to develop the acidity and phenolic ripeness that define the appellation's style—wines built for the table and the cellar alike.
