Tissot-Maire produces sparkling wines in Crémant du Jura, the appellation for traditional-method fizz in France's Jura region. The house works with the classic grapes of the area: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which thrive in the region's continental climate and limestone soils. The Blanc de Noir Crémant du Jura Brut, a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, shows the depth and structure that dark-skinned grapes can lend to sparkling wine. The Blanc de Blancs Crémant du Jura Brut, made entirely from Chardonnay, expresses the mineral precision for which the region is recognized.
