Vignerons de St.-Felix de Lodez
Vignerons de St.-Felix de Lodez produces wines from Languedoc-Roussillon, the sprawling Mediterranean region that has emerged as France's most dynamic source of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre-based reds. The winery's Les Hauts de la Brune Coteaux du Languedoc, a Grenache and Syrah blend, demonstrates the region's capacity for structured, age-worthy wines. Saint-Felixin, a Syrah-Mourvèdre-Grenache blend, rounds out the portfolio with the textural complexity characteristic of southern Rhône-style blending. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator. Languedoc's warm, sun-exposed slopes and limestone soils favor ripe, full-bodied expressions—wines built on the backbone of Syrah's pepper and dark fruit, softened by Grenache's roundness and Mourvèdre's savory tannins. The region's maritime influence and diurnal temperature swings preserve acidity and freshness despite the heat.
