Casa Ferreirinha

Casa Ferreirinha produces wines from the Douro, Portugal's most prestigious red wine region. The winery's portfolio centers on the indigenous varieties that define the area: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Tinto Cão. Barca Velha, a blend of these four grapes, stands as the flagship—a wine that has earned recognition from Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Falstaff. The Reserva Especial, a three-grape blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional, follows closely in critical esteem. Quinta da Leda, a single-varietal expression of Touriga Nacional, rounds out the core range. The Douro's steep schist terraces and continental climate produce wines of depth and structure, and Casa Ferreirinha's selections reflect the region's capacity for complexity and aging potential.
