Casa Setaro works with the volcanic soils and indigenous varieties of Campania, in southern Italy's Vesuvius region. The winery focuses on white wines built from grapes native to the area: Fiano, Caprettone, and Greco. Contradae, a blend of all three, represents the house's approach to complexity and balance. Aryete Vesuvio Caprettone and Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Bianco showcase Caprettone's mineral character and acidity in single-varietal form. These wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Decanter. The volcanic terroir of Campania imparts distinctive salinity and structure to white wines, and Casa Setaro's portfolio reflects that geological signature.
