Domaine de la Borde
Domaine de la Borde sits in Arbois Pupillin, the heart of Jura's most distinctive terroir. The region's mineral limestone soils and continental climate produce wines of unusual structure and longevity. The domaine works with Savagnin and Chardonnay, grapes that thrive in these conditions and express the chalky, austere character Jura is known for. Its Vin Jaune—a deliberately oxidized Savagnin aged under flor—embodies the region's most iconic style: complex, dry, and built to age decades. Côte de Caillot, a Chardonnay from the same terroir, shows the precision and mineral tension that define white Jura. Foudre à Canon Naturé, another Savagnin expression, reflects the domaine's engagement with the grape's full range. Wine Advocate and Decanter have rated these wines.
