Famiglia Statella works the volcanic slopes of Etna, in Sicily's Terre Siciliane region. The winery focuses on Nerello Mascalese and its local partner Nerello Cappuccio—grapes native to this high-altitude terrain, where mineral-rich soils and cool nights shape wines of structure and precision. Pignatuni Rosso, a blend of both Nerellos, represents the winery's core expression, while Pettinociarelle Rosso showcases Nerello Mascalese in singular form. A white wine, Etna Bianco, rounds the portfolio. These wines have drawn assessment from Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Wine Spectator, reflecting the critical attention now focused on Etna's renaissance as a source of serious, terroir-driven reds and whites.
