Girolamo Russo produces wines from Etna, Sicily's volcanic heartland, where mineral-rich soils and altitude shape distinctive expressions of indigenous varieties. The winery's reds center on Nerello Mascalese, the region's signature black grape—a variety prized for its ability to balance structure with elegance across Etna's varied terroirs. San Lorenzo Piano Delle Colombe Rosso, a pure Nerello Mascalese, and San Lorenzo Etna Rosso, a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, represent the winery's red portfolio. On the white side, San Lorenzo Etna Bianco combines Catarratto Bianco, Carricante, and Grecanico—three grapes native to Sicily that thrive in Etna's cool volcanic slopes, yielding wines with mineral precision and aromatic complexity.
