Hauner operates in Terre Siciliane, the expansive wine region of southern Sicily, where volcanic soils and Mediterranean climate shape distinctive Mediterranean varieties. The winery's portfolio centers on Malvasia delle Lipari Passito Riserva, a fortified wine built from Malvasia di Lipari and Corinto Nero grapes, alongside a standard Passito expression. Both have garnered recognition from Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, and Falstaff. The winery also produces Hierà, a red wine from the indigenous Nocera variety. These wines reflect the character of their Sicilian terroir: the Passitos show the richness and concentration typical of fortified expressions from the region, while Nocera—a dark-skinned grape native to Sicily—brings structure and regional identity to the red wine program.
