La Crotta di Vegneron

La Crotta di Vegneron operates in Valle d'Aosta, the Alpine valley at the northern edge of Italy where mountain terrain and cool climate shape distinctive wines. The winery works with indigenous varieties suited to high altitude: Fumin, Petit Rouge, and Vien de Nus among them, alongside Syrah. The Fumin Mines, a single-varietal expression of Fumin, represents the winery's engagement with this local grape. Crème Syrah offers a take on Syrah in a continental setting. The Nus blend draws on two regional varieties native to the Nus commune. These wines have been assessed by Decanter, Wine Advocate, and Wine Spectator, situating the winery within critical conversation around Alpine viticulture and the potential of Valle d'Aosta's terroir.
