La Giaretta
La Giaretta produces wines from Valpolicella, the storied red wine region of Veneto in Northern Italy. The winery focuses on the traditional dried-grape wines that define the area: Amarone della Valpolicella Classico and Recioto della Valpolicella Classico. Both styles emerge from the appassimento method, in which grapes are dried after harvest to concentrate sugars and flavors before fermentation. The flagship Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, built from Rondinella and Corvina, has been rated by Wine Enthusiast. The I Quadretti Amarone della Valpolicella Classico adds Corvinone to the blend, while the Recioto Classico della Valpolicella—a sweeter expression—draws on all three varieties. These wines carry the weight and structure characteristic of Valpolicella's best expressions, where the interplay of native grapes and the region's winemaking heritage shape wines of depth and complexity.
