Le Masciare works with the distinctive grapes of Campania, the volcanic region of southern Italy where ancient varieties thrive in challenging terrain. The winery's Pian del Bosco Taurasi, built from Aglianico, expresses the dark-skinned grape's characteristic structure and depth. Alongside it stand two white expressions: a Fiano di Avellino and a Greco di Tufo, both varieties native to Campania's hillsides. Fiano brings weight and mineral tension to the glass, while Greco Bianco offers the brightness and salinity typical of the variety. These wines have drawn assessment from Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Wine Advocate. Le Masciare's portfolio reflects the region's volcanic soils and the particular character of grapes that have been cultivated here for centuries.
