Markus Molitor
Molitor bottles Riesling across multiple Mosel crus (Scharzhofberger, Ürziger Würzgarten, Zeltinger Sonnenuhr, Brauneberger) and tiers each release with a capsule-color system the back label reveals. The catalogue is enormous — 245 wines — running from Kabinett up through Trockenbeerenauslese, plus dry estate bottlings under the same labels. Five prestige critics rate the range; Wine Advocate has paid 100 on a 2013 Auslese and stays consistently in the high 90s on the top-tier sweet wines. Vinous tracks the dry parcel wines closely, with scores in the low 90s on most recent vintages.
