Tbilvino produces wines from Kakheti, Georgia's premier wine region, where ancient winemaking traditions meet contemporary viticulture. The winery focuses on indigenous Georgian varieties, particularly Saperavi, the dark-skinned grape that defines the region's red wines. Tbilvino's Qvevris Saperavi, fermented in the traditional clay vessels that give the wine its name, earned a prestige rating of 93 from Decanter. The winery's standard Saperavi release and Qvevris Mtsvane—made from the white Mtsvane Kakhuri variety—both received ratings of 91. These wines reflect Kakheti's continental climate and mineral-rich soils, which impart structure and depth to Saperavi's characteristic dark fruit and spice, while Mtsvane brings aromatic complexity and freshness to the white portfolio.
