Wandler
Wandler produces wines from Burgenland, Austria's easternmost wine region, where continental climate and diverse soils shape distinctive red varieties. The winery focuses on indigenous grapes central to Austrian viticulture: Blaufränkisch, known for its dark fruit intensity and mineral structure, and Zweigelt, which brings softer tannins and bright acidity. Alte Reben Blaufränkisch draws from older vines, concentrating flavor and complexity. Cuvée Sycar blends grapes into a structured wine. Zweigelt Classic offers a more approachable expression of the variety. Falstaff has rated these wines, recognizing their quality across the range. Burgenland's warm, dry conditions and proximity to Lake Neusiedl create ideal ripening for these red-wine grapes, allowing Wandler to express both the region's character and the individual personalities of its core varieties.
