La Carraia produces wines from Umbria, the heart of Central Italy. The winery works primarily with Sangiovese and Montepulciano, the region's signature varieties, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Selection Schwander, a blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese, and Solcato Umbria, which combines Sangiovese with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, represent the winery's core offerings and have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Decanter, and Falstaff. Fobiano, a Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend, rounds out the portfolio. These wines reflect Umbria's continental climate and limestone-rich soils, which lend structure and mineral character to the region's reds.
