Tenute Baldo

Tenute Baldo produces wines from Montefalco, a hillside appellation in Umbria where Sagrantino thrives. The winery's portfolio centers on two regional expressions: Sagrantino, the indigenous variety that defines the zone, and Sangiovese-based reds that capture the terroir's structure and depth. The Montefalco Sagrantino shows the grape's characteristic tannin and dark fruit character. The Remigrante Montefalco Rosso Riserva, a Sangiovese blend, and the entry-level Montefalco Rosso round out the range. All three have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator. The winery's work reflects the volcanic and limestone soils of central Umbria, where warm days and cool nights build complexity in red wines meant for the table.
